Ferran Textiles Wallpaper
A hand-painted wallpaper collection by the New York-based designer Kathryn Ferran Kayajan — each design starting as an original watercolour in her studio, then printed as wallpaper alongside the studio's textile range. The Ferran wallpaper collection extends the studio's travel-collection vocabulary into wallcovering, with designs drawn from African landscape, Greek islands, French classical pattern and the historic Indienne tradition of Indian-inspired printed cloth.
Many Ferran wallpapers have matching designs in the fabric range, allowing a single pattern to be used continuously across walls, drapery and upholstery within a single project. View the Ferran Textiles fabric collection for matching designs.
Kayajan trained as an architect at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA) Boston and at Parsons School of Design in New York, then worked professionally at the prestigious architecture firm Gensler before launching Ferran in 2000. The studio's first print was published in Vogue Magazine, and its work has since been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle, Country Living and Traditional Home. Twenty-two years on, Kayajan still hand-paints every new design in her signature style.
Ferran wallpapers are hand-painted designs printed in considered runs for trade specification. Suitable for feature walls, full wallcovering installations, panelled rooms, hallway runs and considered single-wall applications across residential, commercial and hospitality interiors.
Ferran wallpaper is available in Australia exclusively through MOTIVO. Because the collection is hand-painted and printed in considered runs, lead times reflect the making — we're happy to advise on timelines, custom colourways, and which designs are best suited to specific applications, particularly where wallpaper is being specified alongside the matching fabric range.
Samples, full design specifications and trade pricing are available on request.
