A South African textiles house with more than thirty years' standing in the trade, working in collaboration with South African pattern designers to produce fabrics and wallpapers built for longevity rather than trend. The Silk & Cotton Co collection sits in a quiet, considered tradition — characterful prints and patterns drawn from the South African landscape, on the natural base cloths the studio is best known for.

Founded in 1992, Silk & Cotton Co has spent more than three decades developing its own collections alongside distributing some of the most respected international fabric and wallpaper houses within South Africa — among them Clarence House, Ian Mankin, Fabricut and Stroheim. That dual practice — curator of international fabric and producer of local design — gives the studio an unusually long perspective on which textiles last, and informs everything they make.

Silk & Cotton Co works in natural linen base cloths, herringbone textures, hand-embroidered patterns and detailed printed designs. Suitable for curtaining, upholstery, cushions, headboards, lampshades and soft furnishings across residential, commercial and hospitality interiors.
