The name of this design is Italian for peacock and we couldn't think of anything else to call this amazing Italian Renaissance damask. We found this in the collection of Isabella Stewart Gardner, who must have brought it back from her many trips to Italy. This is one of our most painstaking hand cut stencils, which we then turned into a silkscreen for hand printing onto fabric and wallpaper.
